3.76 avg rating from 111 GoodReaders

BLAST OFF is the easiest Star Wars book to date. The text is large and the sentences are short and simple. There's no real story, but rather favorite characters are introduced. Here's an example:
Meet C-3PO.
He is a droid.
He can speak many languages.
Children should really like the pictures.

Watch your step!
Some creatures are friendly.
Other creatures are dangerous.
This book introduces the fearsome Zillow beast.  The images are cool, but I could see where they might be too 'exciting' for some really young readers.  Check out other sample pages at Amazon.

This book follows the adventure of Zeb, one of the characters from the popular cartoon series.  The text isn't as large as some of the other first grade level books, but the sentences are short and the graphics will keep kids reading.

3.54 avg rating — 13 ratings

Chopper is a grumpy astromech droid that can be relied on in a pinch.  He has the grouchy attitude that many kids love.

After reading the reviews this seems to be a book that is loved more by very young emergent readers.
