14 year-old Derek Stone is a little bit chubby
and doesn't hear so well out of one ear. He's also the kind of guy
who likes his facts -- he's definitely not a daydreamer. So it's ironic
that he's the one that has been chosen to deal with ghosts and
zombies. Something that's really hard for him to wrap his mind around.
The wonderful Tony Abbott has his character deal with train accidents, the deaths of good people and bad, and a mix up that has some very strange zombies prowling around.

CITY OF THE DEAD
3.77 Rating– 341 GoodReads reviewers
In
this book Derek finds out that his brother and dad have died in a
terrible train accident. He moves in with his uncle only to have his
brother, Ronny, suddenly appear at the door. Ronny's welcomed, of
course, but it's soon clear that while this person looks like his
brother, that someone else is in control. Could it have something to do
with the train accident that occurred at the same place 70 years
before?
