Princess
Violet is a princess more in name than in deportment and appearance.
And perhaps it's not living up to expectations that leads her to be
friendless until she meets up with the stableboy. But in any case, the
two of them stumble upon a book which leads them to stumble upon trouble
that only they and the kingdom's last dragon can resolve.
Strong
female character, this book is slow to start and really has a rather
complicated plot with lots to think about. No doubt one of the reasons
it earned itself a place on the 2012 Nebular Award list.
