THE 2 EASIEST BOOKS ABOUT THE BEATLES

This list idea came from my daughter.  She's in middle-school now but has been interested in The Beatles -- yes, John, Paul, George, and Ringo -- for a couple of years.

These books may be at a lower reading level, but BABY'S IN BLACK is definitely NOT for younger children.

and Stu, the legendary "fifth Beatle".  After the Beatles return home to England, Stu remains and gets engaged to Astrid.  The marriage never occurs as Stu unexpectedly dies.

Doreen Rappaport and Bryan Collier did a splendid job on MARTIN'S BIG WORDS, which earned them awards and praise from this blog.

The two are back together trying to bring light to John's philsophy of peace.  They use everything from song lyrics, to cut-paper collage and watercolor, to 'capture' his essence.
