SHATTER ME / Tahereh Mafi reading levels

SHATTER ME is a great book, but the intense narrative isn't going to be for everyone.  The main character, Juliette, presents a jagged, disjointed face to the world and I advise everyone to read a few sample pages.

Seventeen-year-old Juliette has been incarcerated for most of her life for an 'ailment' that is beyond her control.  You see, to come in contact with Juliette's skin is to suffer and die.

Her isolation ends though when a young man is mysteriously thrown into her cell.  But who is this boy?  And who doesn't care if he lives or dies?

DESTROY ME - (Shatter Me #1.5)

4.28 avg rating — 13,601 ratings

Destroy Me is a novella told from the perspective of Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45.  Available only as an ebook.

bookcover of UNRAVEL ME (Shatter Me #2) by Tahereh Mafi

 4.36 avg rating — 22,493 ratings

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point but she's not finding it easy to adjust. No one is trying to kill her, which is nice, but everyone is afraid that she'll kill them... by accident, if she so much as brushes up against.

There's much angst in the book, and a surprising turn of events when Juliette finds herself attracted to no one other than Warner!
