Dan and Amy choose the puzzle but this puts them in competition with other family members, some of whom aren't very nice. Humor and adventure are nicely mixed.

couple of years after the Clue Hunt the feud between the Cahill
branches has ended. But there's not to be peace because no a new
trouble rises: a family called the Vespers. The Vespers have been the
Cahills' enemies forever, but now they've grown very bold. In fact,
they've kidnapped 7 Cahills so they can coerce Amy and Dan into
retrieving rare artifacts for them.

For
a once popular series there isn't alot of information about Chloe's
story. I can tell you though that this is for young adult readers.
But essentially the tale is about a normal girl who wakes up one morning with cat-like powers.
