ENDER'S GAME reading levels

ENDER'S GAME is a remarkable book.  Winner of two prestigious Science Fiction Awards, it currently  has 4.28 STARS from 489,714 reviewers at GoodReads.

Reasons for the books' popularity include the quality of Orson Scott Card's writing and his ability to include emotional elements in his plotting.  One can't help but feel for the children that are torn from their families, nor to hope that they can come up with a solution so that the Buggers don't conquer mankind.

For any age, Ender's Game is definitely guy-friendly.

ENDER'S GAME

*Nebula Award Winner*
*Hugo Award Winner*
*Locus Award Nominee*

Aliens have attacked in Earth space and the prognoses looks grim.  So in an effort to save humanity children are genetically created to be military geniuses.

The Wiggins family has 3 three brilliant children: Ender, Peter, and Valentine.  But it is only the two boys who have a talent for things martial and that sets off the emotional dynamic in this series, especially after Ender is chosen for Battle School and sadistic Peter is excluded.

Truly a brilliant, intelligent book.

The STAR WARS Infinities series - Empire Strikes Back

Yikes! There are so many Star Wars series that it can be something of a problem to keep them straight. It can get especially tricky when you have a series like Infinities where there are sub-series. This list is an effort to make it easy to not only know what order the books are in (and how many there are), but to verify that the books don't vary too wildly when it comes to reading level.

This series by David Land encompasses 4 volumes. The Accelerated Reading level ranges from 2.3 to 2.5.

This INFINITIES series, by the way, won't be for all Star Wars fans because these books don't follow the movies! Instead, they tell a story where some vitally important element is changed. For instance, what if Luke was never rescued by Han after the snow creature attacked him? Or what if Darth Vader found the secret information that the Rebels had hidden on C-3PO?
